Civic Remembrance Parade and Service

11th November 2018 @ 9:45 am - 12:30 pm

Once again we have been invited to take part in the Civic Remembrance Parade and Service on Sunday 11th November 2018. This year’s event being particularly poignant as it marks 100 years since the end of world war 1.

The arrangements remain largely unchanged from previous years but are as follows:

Meet at Brentwood School (Courage Hall Gate) at 9.45am for a 10am start.

There is no parking available in the school – my suggestion is the multi storey or William Hunter Way

Full and correct uniform must be worn. School trousers if no scout trousers. Respectfully we ask that there are no jogging bottoms or trainers worn.

The Civic Service is not appropriate for Beavers, Cubs or Younger Scouts. This years service will be approximately one hour long and finish at about 12.30pm – in time for the national peal of bells to commemorate the end of WW1.

Those young people not attending church are asked to peel off towards Shenfield after the brief service at the war memorial and not leave the parade at Wilson’s Corner as in previous years.
